I've known MacPaint, MacDraw, MacWrite too. But I think some here are old enough to miss VisiCalc on Apple II. :)

I bought into a home computer in 1988, when my wife's university offered it's faculty a discount.  We  bought a 512K Fat Mac.  I was in love with the OS, it was the first time I ever felt like a machine interfaced with my mind and body.  It shipped with system v3.0.

You young whippersnappers. I got the 128K Mac when it came out, right when I went to college.

Oh yeah?  Well there was that time Steve and the Waz came to me for advice on the I/O interface they were struggling to envision.  To me it was a simple problem.  I reached into my plate and held my dinner up by the tail.  The rest is history... son.

*remembers the original 128k Mac was cool but INSANELY expensive*
My computer often beats me in Strip Poker but doesn't stand a chance against my kick-boxing!

Yes it was, even with a student discount. Somehow we justified it because I was going off to college and "needed a computer."

The campus was studded with computer labs so I probably could have gotten away without owning a computer at all, but I got my money's worth out of it. No regrets.
