Interesting- i hope it's true, and that Aspyr is on top of it. According to the leak the DLC's intended release is this weekend.

One might dream that the BL2 update delay has been because Aspyr has been working behind the scenes on this DLC along with the HD update. I don't think that is the case but I am dreaming it is.

Yeah, that would be cool. But after Aspyr was apparently as surprised as everyone else by the BL2/TPS HD versions, I had the impression they are also somewhat left out of the loop by Gearbox.

Turns out they were: the DLC is out and available (for free for the next month) for Mac (but not out?).

In related news: the Ultra HD Texture pack is now also listed as Mac compatible.

"listed as Mac compatible", the DLC and Texture Pack don't actually install. Who knows. Aspyr sent out an email so one would assume they should be working soon.

Core game was updated to 1.8.5 (and is now 64-bit!), I successfully joined a PC game this morning. But 90% of games in the browser are DLC games so I can't join them.

I tried verifying the files but the HD pack and Lilith DLC both show as not installed. idk, probably valve fraked something up.

Welp, Mac version just downloaded a 10.2 GB patch. Looks like the DLC and HD packs are live now.

Yup, they are.

I'm wondering if the latest patch not only updated the game to 64-bit, but also added Metal support. There's something different with how fullscreen is implemented and the gamma is somewhat different.

What. Has anyone confirmed? I can't get to it until tonight.

Aspyr did send an email about the DLC, but if the core game was updated to 64-bit, indeed if that patch is REQUIRED to run the DLC, they should have mentioned it?!
Also their support page (which they told everyone to keep an eye on) hasn't been updated yet.

I've confirmed it by playing it. System Requirements are now minimum version of mac OS 10.12.

I don't have anything earlier than 10.13 installed on a machine right now to verify how accurate that is. I believe the 1.8.4 system requirements was 10.8 minimum version.

New version won't run on my machine then. I'm not bothered, par for the course at this point. I'm just glad the game will be around for my next machine.

Aspyr really should document some of this. Their developers came through for us though! Guess I'll have to keep my promise (to buy $17.97 worth of DLC if a 64-bit patch got released.)

Due to lack of time I only managed to finish the DLC today (save for some sidequests only available after the end), and it was fine. The main antagonist was rather weak, and some of the cameos of the supporting characters felt unnecessary and a bit like filler material, but I enjoyed it.

Thanks for hiding that spoiler! I'll get there eventually..

I've started playing again, this time with Axton (now at level 16). I am finding him much easier than my first character, Zer0. (Though Zer0's badass tokens get some of the credit.) I haven't had to farm XP from so many side-missions this time, which is a huge relief.
