Just a forewarning to anyone looking to play this great game again, there is a mod out there called the Kotor 1 Restoration mod that restores cut content and such, similar to The Sith Lords Restored for Kotor 2 but on a much smaller scale because the original kotor didn't get shafted.
It's not a very good mod, in my opinion it makes the game much worse and a lot more convoluted. There was clearly a reason they cut a lot of this content, and cuts really aren't always a bad thing. Just a heads up.

To add to this note, I just got back into the game again to try all the different kinds of playthroughs and i used the modding guide from the kotor subreddit, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to play this game again. They also have a list for Kotor 2 though I myself have not tried that yet.
