Tropic 4 is good stuff. Feral did a top notch port on that.

A bit annoying that you have to link your Steam account to claim the copy.

A while back it used to be automatically added to your steam account when you linked and bought. Now, it seems they only give the steam key you have to type into steam... but still have to be 'linked'. I wonder why that is.

But after having my steam account linked for years, I can say its 'safe'. As safe as any web store is with your information that is.

Maybe something like humble actually only has to pay out when a key is claimed? They only did the auto claim thing for a short period of time.
