In other Aspyr news, I just happened to notice Jade Empire on iOS is only 99 cents! Insta-buy! No idea how long that offer will last.

Civilization VI requires iOS 11 on an iPad Air 2, iPad 2017, or any iPad Pro. Please note, Civilization VI on iPad includes the base game, and does not include DLC or the Rise and Fall expansion.

Um, wut?
I don't really need the Collector's Edition with the Civ VI iPad case, Gandhi figurine, cloth map of the world, Prima Strategy Guide, etc. Just the regular $9.99 version would be great. I think that is what Feral released Rome Total War for if I recall correctly which is certainly an impressive technical accomplishment itself not to mention a great game.

Oh and Aspyr mentioned on Twitter and Facebook that KOTOR 2 won't come to iOS.

Total War was a much older game (though still very excellent). Still, I don't see people paying 60 dollars for an iPad game. There's some loss of value because there's so much OS churn games frequently fall out of compatibility. It is worth the 30 dollar price to never sleep again.

Holy heck, it's mod-able.
$30/$60 is a lot for the ipad version, but clearly they are gambling that this is like a parallel platform, competing directly with the desktop versions. If so, the price may drop when desktop version's price eventually does. (Note the desktop version is currently $30 too, thanks to the Steam sale.)
I'm tempted.

I hope and expect that the upcoming Neverwinter Nights EE will come to iOS too which is another one I'd enjoy on iPad.
I don't mind DLC and certainly not good expansions but I really appreciate excellent games coming to iOS without microtransactions which for me are a huge turn off. In fact, seeing no microtransactions on something good is a huge turn on and gets me all happy inside! Sorry, maybe that's TMI...

I stopped gaming on my iOS devices a while back (Legion for iPad was AWESOME; shame support got dropped). This is tempting me though.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

This may be why the iOS version is also on sale, for $24.

^ Beta.

The only games on my iPad are my grognard games. Civ6 on the iPad is wonderful.
Nightly, I lie in bed next to my woman and play Civ6 on my iPad. Then after ransacking an obstinate civilization, I put my iPad away and take my prize.

I found late game to get sluggish to load, even on smallish maps. And it tended to unload itself from memory if I switched to almost any other task on the iPad (1st gen Pro). So that meant I'd switch to it and see the initial loading screens again, a lot more often than I wanted.
I haven't played for about 2 years, and there have been many patches both to the game and iOS, so your experience will almost certainly be different. Could be better, could be worse. :-) But overall, thumbs up.
