We are doing this because although we have eliminated spambots, humans are still registering and spamming us. We don't want our members to be bothered with spam anymore.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

Correct. The only accounts that sometimes get purged are known spammer signup attempts that never posted. But even though mostly just go into the 'banned' category for reference, not purged out.
Any regular member who has ever been a member of the forums (even before the switch to IPB), should still have their account.

In order to upload directly from your Mac, you need to click on the "More Reply Options" just under the reply text window on the right. From there you will see the "Attach Files" section just under the text window. Use it to choose the image file you want to use, then attach it to your post. Finally click the "Add to Post" link in the blue box just under the text box. The image will appear in your text where your mouse has last clicked. Images in your post will not be full sized until someone clicks on it.
