Just started the Civ IV: Colonization from Steam and the first thing I saw was an Aspyr Media License agreement... so I guess that answers that :)

Which begs the question - who in their right mind would buy the version off gameagent?

I suspect that Steam will put downward pressure on all Mac game prices.  While this may cause companies like Aspyr some pain, in the long run it will be a good thing for us.

Actually, the whole bundle is on sale right now for a startling $9.99.  If you were ever going to buy the complete Civ IV bundle, Colonization included, now is the time.

It's $10 right now, actually. Not sure how long it'll last, so get it while you can!

Insanely awesome! I'm glad I only added it to my cart but never actually bought it. Now I can sell my DVD copies of Civ IV & Warlords since I won't need them anymore!

It didn't last long. I just added it to my cart & bought it. Then I went back about a half-hour later to buy it for a friend of mine, and it's back up to $29.99.  :(

Most sales only last for 24 hours. Hence the countdown on the Steam page. ;)

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but BTS & Colonization don't seem to offer the same resolutions that Civ IV & Warlords do for my 24" iMac. The graphics in BTS & Colonization seem to be a bit dull by comparison. Also, BTS is suffering from rendering issue of the 3D leader heads. They are transparent/floating eyes. It seems to me they had this issue with Civ IV or Warlords. Anyone else experiencing these problems?

Turn off the anti-aliasing, then the leader heads are fine. For everything else: I don't see much difference between the main game and BtS. Are you sure you have set both to the same level of graphics detail?

This time I didn't miss it. Probably the best value I'll ever get on any Mac game purchase, past or present.  :)

And how lovely to not have to deal with DVDs or CD-ROMs.
