One for the iOS/mobile gamers:

What do you look for when playing games while travelling?

e.g. Frequent autosaves, stable tilt controls, endless distraction…

For demanding games on the go, an option to tone down visuals to preserve battery life would be nice to have.

Frequent saves are always good on a mobile device even at home. I can just as easily be interrupted here as anywhere else.

Those address features. As for content, I tend to play the likes of Bejeweled 3 or Solitaire in a doctor’s office but for a longer stretch somewhere I prefer the same content I would at home. For iOS that means strategy and role playing games primarily. These games play well with touch controls. AR is neat but I think it’s kind of a fad really because you have to hold the device a certain way aiming at a surface, etc. Personally I find the novelty of it cool but that’s about it. I feel the same way about VR. Headsets aren’t the way. The holodeck is. Too bad I won’t be here for that. Sorry, wandered off topic.

Medieval Total War II for iOS please. Thank you. Oh, and when it becomes possible I would absolutely love the Dawn of War II games for iOS. I’d buy all three of them instantly on release. I realize that may not be technically feasible yet but I figured I’d start the appeals process early.

Based on the number of games probably Tomb Raider, only one needed WINE to play one on my Mac (Legend) and really enjoyed the latest but, being a racing sim fan and long time F1 fan watching each race on TV having the Codemasters F1 games has been fantastic.

Myst, no question. Riven changed my life in opening my eyes at what interactive storytelling could be. It’s a masterpiece.

Which reminds me: the Myst Kickstarter for all the games and some killer artifacts—including a linking book with a customizable LCD panel—has less than 24 hours to go. They have since announced Mac support. https://www.kickstar...ection/comments

World of Warcraft classic. Thats classic, as the current WoW is not for me. WoW had a lot of elements I like in a game, including communication and teamwork.

I never met DOOM game I didn't like. The same can be said for the Wolfenstein and Quake games.

Legend of Zelda I have to say. I have had waaaay to many wonderful gaming experiences in that series. Ocarina of Time is still my number one all time game (Followed by Baldurs Gate 1, Civilization 4: BTS, Borderlands 2 in that order). The music, the setting, the characters, the gameplay, the story, the AAA feel - Everything top notch. Specifically for OoT, it has to be the music and story though.

Really looking forward to getting a Nintendo Switch and dive into Breath of the Wild.
"They're everywhere!" -And now, time for some Legend of Zelda.
