There are 3 customers here chomping at the bit for this game and the multiplayer goodness which I hope isn't restricted to game ranger.

The Windows Live networking API uses a proprietary protocol and everything's encrypted so the Mac version cannot play against the Windows version. When at all possible we make the Mac version play with the Windows release however in this case due to the use of encrypted Windows Live! networking code DiRT2 will be Mac-Mac only.

Very cool unit, except the too small screen. Good job!

It's unfortunate in this case GFWL has stopped Mac/PC DiRT 2 gameplay but when we can (like in Borderlands) we do support Mac/PC so this does not mean every GFWL game will be effected.

I echo that comment -- I hope it'll be on the Mac AppStore, because it takes FOREVER for any of the iStudios (authorised Apple distributors) here to get it : ( When it's out, I'm gonna want it (despite having D3 for my ugh... Windoze on Bootcamp).

We are close to having concreate news, in fact this is a short post as we are flat out on sorting the final details. And yes Lion did have a few side effects that delayed the release.
