I believe "wintergreen" is the word you are looking for. And I was so annoyed when the two A&W restaurants in Sydney closed down...

AIRPLANE TOOTHPASTE!

I have no idea what "airplane toothpaste" tastes like.  I doubt it tastes like root beer, though.  But if it does, that's cool--where's the nearest airplane?

Root Beer + Hawaiian Punch = Guaranteed Hiccup Inducer

...don't ask.

Root Beer really depends on who makes it. The stuff that comes in a can, or from a restaurant, tastes ick. The good stuff always comes in a bottle. A root beer float kinda makes up for any weaknesses that root beer may have. Mmmmm...

Life without root beer would be like life without pizza. Chicago pizza... with root beer. Mmm.

It's weird actually, half of the Aussie population seems to drink and love Sars, which is the same thing as root beer, while the other half hates it.
Sars? Never heard of it.

I worked with two Frenchmen a long time ago, and they both hated root beer. Interestingly enough, they both said it tasted like a common French medicine (for coughs or colds, I think.) Pretty good reason to dislike it I think.

The best part was when they heard me waxing poetic about root beer floats (vanilla ice cream in root beer; so good!) They were horrified and insisted they had to watch me eat one. I swear it was like they were watching me eat bugs- they couldn't help themselves, their eyes watched in queasy fascination as I lifted each spoonful. They wanted to turn away and could not.

It got me thinking how some likes and dislikes can be related to regional or cultural experience. As another example, I have found a couple Canadians who dislike the idea of mixing peanut butter and chocolate, though I haven't sampled enough people to claim there's a pattern.

You didn't get the recruitment PM, Rich 'n' Famous (and 28.8) as you are? :innocent:  Tsk, tsk- your FPS skilz must not be as highly thought-of as you expected. :shifty:

(Say, what's such a Rich 'n' Famouser as yourself doing stuck on 28.8 to begin with? What happened to the 'E5hSat Broadband Network?')

You didn't partner with Al Haig to roll out broadband via blimp and lose those riches, did you? :excl:

It's a character trait.  To set me apart from those other Rich 'n' Famous people.  Anyway, I didn't get rich by blowing money on broadband!

Or multiplayer gaming. Anyway, if you have to ask (or consider) how much it costs... :shifty:

I bet Bill Gates has a separate line to each of those 60 rooms.

Water, flavoured water, and iced tea with pizza?! :blarf:

Some folks just don't appreciate life's finer things... like broadband rootbeer pizza gaming. :)
