You do know that iTunes music is DRM free?

Yes, of course. But I have a lot of movies and TV series purchases too.

Yeah, that is harder to deal with, unless one has an Apple TV. If you view most of your stuff on a computer, then there's really no way out unfortunately. DRM is the reason I haven't bought a single movie/show from iTunes, because I really want to stay platform agnostic in case of finally making the platform switch.

It should be possible to transfer your purchase to a  different service with https://moviesanywhere.com/ , or something like that: https://support.appl.../en-us/HT202915

Yeah, Movies Anywhere is great. I don't buy iTunes because I want the best quality, but I always redeem my codes in Movies Anywhere and I instantly have digital copies on iTunes and everywhere else.

When thinking about it. I'm not specifically looking for new Feral games, since they'll probably be catalina-only... :crying:

Seems like Epic and Creative Assembly/Sega massively screwed Feral over: "A Total War Saga: Troy" will be a 12-month EGS exclusive, which probably means Feral can't release their Mac and Linux ports as intended.

EDIT: Just noticed there is a dedicated thread for this topic.

Sad but then they will have more time to work on Bioshock 2 Remastered for faster release. ;)

Well, I would rather see them release fresh games than some old unnecessary remasters.

With 'Total War Saga: Troy' now presumably delayed for the Mac until at least late 2021, it would be great to see some other sequels ported to the Mac, like 'HITMAN 2' or 'Middle-earth: Shadow of War', but I guess we'll get some more Codemasters Racing Games and 'LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga'.

Hitman 2 especially seems like a no-brainer since it would also allow Mac users who have the first game to play it in 2's engine.

what's with all that crazed about total war non stop porting to Macos ?
I wish they could have done something big& open world? like red dead redemption?or Middle-earth™: Shadow of War™/ or maybe saint's row 3 remastered?or maybe fallout ? or maybe DOOM eternal?something that could push my mac pro & apple metal to the limit?i would be happy with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

They happen because Feral has a good working relationship with the publisher. ZeniMax hates Macs, so Fallout, Doom, Elder Scrolls will never happen.

They just announced Hitman 1 and 2 will be playable inside Hitman 3...at this point Feral should just do 2 and 3 at the same time.

Mass Effect is most likely being announced as a remaster very soon - We could hope for a Mac release. Although I doubt it, since Switch isn't getting it either, supposedly.

A pity though. It is more or less highest on my wish-on-Mac-list.

Exactly. Games like Doom 3, the original Prey and Return to Castle Wolfenstein are my favourite games. Those games always got a lot of Mac-love, so the ports were fantastic. Now that ZeniMax owns all of those games we can forget about the new Doom games, the new Wolfenstein games, Rage 2 (and the new Prey, although I don't care at all about that game, as it has absolutely nothing to do with the original game).

Prey 2017 is probably my favorite AAA game of the last 5 years. It's essentially a modern System Shock. It's too bad Bethesda forced Arkane to reuse the Prey name for misguided marketing reasons.

Prey, you say? I might have to reassess a possible purchase. Doom 2016 runs flawlessly at max Ultra settings via Proton (Linux), OpenGL 4.5, haven't tried Vulkan yet.

EDIT: Watched a video comparing Doom OpenGL to Vulkan, sounded too good to be true...it's true :o :w00t:
