Notice: This product is not compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina.
Yes, that notification is notoriously unreliably because the developer has to remove it manually, and many don't do it.

Sloppy devs. What, take them all of two seconds... and they wouldn't be pushing away potential buyers! Stupid.

It drives me crazy because the mode for some people seems to be to do the minimum to earn their cut, with no sense of obligation or opportunity to do better by the players or the developers.
There are exceptions out there. A couple of us complained about Airheart not supporting controllers on the Mac, and the person who responded clearly wants to help, and has tried to follow up a couple times even though the actual developers are busy trying to earn a living working a completely different game.. But if you can't be bothered to keep your store page accurate then I have no sympathy for you.

could we maybe have a thread with a list of steam games that are compatible but say they aren't?

If its a publisher ... really, its their JOB to maintain that information right for proper sales!

Yeah. By default they were like "ALL GAMES ARE NOT COMPATIBLE! its up to the individual to go change that" .... yikes. Granted, trying to systematically figure out mac game compatibility with all the OS X and macOS versions that have randomly caused problems and depreciated others.......... I kind of dont blame Valve for just throwing their hands up in the air and saying "you figure it out, this is a mess".
