Borderlands The Handsome Collection for only 6.4 euros on Steam.
Bioshock: The Collection 12 euros
XCOM 2 for only 4 euros

Sorry, I was wrong. I was logged in to Steam and since I have some of the items in the collections it showed a lower price. Borderlands THC costs 10.13 euros, still 96% discount.

Homeworld franchise sale on Steam.
I was shocked and excited to see that there was a Mac version of Deserts of Kharak -- how did I miss that?! Only $5...
But then I saw the dreaded words: "not compatible with Catalina"

Could be worth checking out for $5. That Steam marking can be wrong unless publisher knows they need to change it. I recently played both Metro: 2033 and Metro: Last Light which were marked as incompatible but worked fine

Just did a search on the game's Steam forum for "Mac 64 bit” and yes it is 64 bit so works fine on Catalina. Also works on MI Macs under Rosetta 2.

Enjoy!

Note: I wrote this post before seeing Tacohead's reply above.

I installed and tried to run it; nothing appeared in the dock or Force Quit. So, it looks incompatible.

Then I realized with APFS, I could set up a Mojave partition very cheaply - no need to allocate a fixed amount of disk for it. So I created a 2nd disk, found a link for the Mojave installer, tried to download it, got an error, googled the error, fixed the error..

Suddenly my screen went black. What the hell?...

It was the game finally starting up.

So confimed: the listing is wrong and Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak IS 64-bit compatible. I don't know why Steam games take so long to start up the first time, but this one was by far the slowest yet.

The latest humble choice has Civ VI platinum with all the expansions.

Also not Mac, but it contains Aspyr's new remaster of Stubbs the Zombie.

Itch.io is doing another packed bundle, this time for Palestinian aid. https://itch.io/b/90...palestinian-aid
$5 or more for 1000+ items - desktop computer games, printable board games, soundtracks, browser games, visual novels, (text) novellas, who knows what else.

It's a little less compelling compared to their last bundle, at first glance. For Mac I recognized Framed and Framed II, a couple cute Devolver games, Windosill. (Not sure if these all run on Catalina.) I'm downloading a few games I'd never heard of that caught my eye.

Feel free to share any good finds!

Also saw Cook, Serve Delicious 2.

The last bundle added a lot of stuff later, so it's worth keeping an eye on.

A few mini reviews from the bundle:
____(What Even Is That Thing) - Cute idea. Kind of fun to just run it and try to figure it out - there are no instructions. However I got stuck on level one, looked up a hint and I was doing exactly the right thing. So I went back and tried again and it worked? So that was annoying.

Cosmic Express - solid puzzle game, easy to pick up, cute graphics. Worth a look. Some of the puzzles were a little repetitive but you can unlock all puzzles then sample the different varieties.

Super Is Hot - if you have played both Baba Is You and Superhot, then you kind of have to try this one.
Unfortunately the app wouldn't run when I first downloaded it (Big Sur), "You don't have permission". I had to run sudo chmod -R 755 SUPER\ IS\ HOT.app/ in the terminal.
The music is tedious, but it's a funny idea, seriously implemented.

Cook, Serve Delicious 2 - Mac executable did not unzip to a working application (".. damaged..") I had to use another terminal command to get it to work. I did the tutorial using a gamepad, which was a mistake. (Does anyone actually play it that way?!) Keyboard and mouse were better. I'll try a few levels that way.

(It's weird how a downloaded app simply doesn't run some of the time, these days. I'm not even counting the fact that many of them are unsigned. I'd put it down to developers trying to support Macs without owning one, but the CSD2 executable was supposedly their GOG build.)

Are there regional price differences on Epic Game Store? I just bought Darksiders 3 for ca €1.9 or $2.25. When I check Isthereanydeal.com the historical lowest price has been €9.22 on Wingamestore. The Steam price is now €14.99. The games's normal price is €50-60. Very surprised by Epic's very low price. The strange thing is that according to Isthereanydeal Epic's current price is €14.99 while I bought it for €1.9. What price do you see in your country? The sale will be over tomorrow (today) at 5 PM.

I thought it was a bug. The developer is THQ Nordic so maybe they have a special deal for the Nordic countries? I'm baffled but it's a nice surprise so I grabbed it. :)
