Anyone ever play this?  I own this and was thinking about reinstalling it to try and play it again online but I thought it was Mac to Mac only.  Anyone still play this on the web?

Yuor best bet would be logging onto GameRanger and hope there is a game going.

Logged onto GameRanger last night and didn't see anything. Mind you, I don't spend much time on there, so there might be one every once in a while. Do you have any friends who have the game? You might be able to get something together.

In the past there has always been some 1-3 games running. On average at least one has been password protected (clan probably), but you could usually join in on one of the others. Trouble is, AvP has such poor networking that half the time when a game was over and a new one was created, I'd find myself wondering around in an empty level. Only after quitting several minutes later to find that either the game creator had left GameRanger or had created a new game. Weird.

I enjoyed AvP online, it is good fun.  A bit strange when you spear someone and it takes them 10 seconds to die, but fun none the less.

I don't recall ever playing against a PC user though, so I can't tell you if it is Mac->PC networking.  Why not look it up on the AvP homepage?

The PC-version uses DirectPlay, so no, they are not compatible.

Nearly anyone plays AvP anymore and if they do it's probably a clan. Though most people who play AvP play single player.

I only play AvP in single player, and I don't know anyone who plays multiplayer.
