By pure chance, I found that there is a community-made patch for Bungie's Oni (based on a never really finished Intel patch by Feral), which allows the game to run on Intel Macs and modern versions of macOS, including Mojave. Works in fact great.

The patched Oni works great! Thanks again for that tip.
Interesting that Feral put out the latest patches, as recently as Dec 2015. I have to wonder if a 64-bit build might not appear at some point.
There are lots of mods for improved models and textures, plus new levels and whatnot. I may try some of them, if I can figure out which ones are stable/worthwhile.
