This game looks absolutely incredible, Im hoping it will come to mac based on that its made by the same guys who made the Total War games

Yeah, I've posted about it when it was announced in the "games on your radar" thread. It just keeps on looking better and better to me from each preview I had seen. It'll be interesting to see how fun it plays with the "you can have a gun but you'll want to use it sparingly because it makes noise and will attract the Alien if nearby and you can't really damage it with the gun" mechanic.

I've been hoping at least Feral ends up working on publishing a Mac version since they have a long running partnership with Creative Assembly.

The only part that worries me is that it is a completely different game than what creative assembly is used to developing, so we'll have to see if they are up to the challenge of making a game from a completely different genre. If anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt though, its them.

The Aliens games have been getting progressively worse but this one's looking quite promising... as long as those, whom shall remain unnamed, whom ported Dead Island don't do the port.

Horror games are totally my thing as some of my favorite games are horror games. Plus.. Despite all the bad entries in it I'm a fan of the Alien franchise in general so this is right up my alley. I love how this is totally in the style of the original film rather than taking the easy route and making it like the more mainstream accessible Aliens or any of the sequels. Personally, I've actually been hoping for a more cerebral based on the original movie ALIEN (without an S) game. One where because it's ALIEN singular the Xeno isn't trivialized as it usually is. I also like how creepy they are making the androids in this game.

I really want it but noticed that there was a Occulus rift version of it shown at E3. I think I'll wait till that version is out and see if I can't borrow or rent a dev kit from someone (or worst comes to worst buy it and re-sell).

I really want this to be good. I absolutely was over the moon for Aliens: Colonial Marines and they just frakked it all up.

For me personally, I love Alien and Aliens (didn't care for 3 or Resurrection). If someone did a game of them without screwing it up for once, I'd be in hog heaven.

This one looks good, but so did Colonial Marines before it was actually released.
And that one hasn't been ported to OS X, even though it is a gearbox game. Hopefully, if Isolation has good reception, feral may take care of the rest.

Aliens Colonial Marines was also by different studios (Timegate and Gearbox) and was treated badly during development by Gearbox... and suffered from its own form of Duke Nukem Forever syndrome being in such long development and rocky beginnings. It was originally going to be made in 2001 for the PS2! The Gearbox version was announced in 2006 and they kept it on the backburner and kept embezzled some of the money and development resources to make Borderlands from what I read.

None of which is likely to be happening with Alien Isolation. But then again, a good Alien(s) game is rare and one could say we haven't really had a single one. Although, I was pretty sure some people around here where fans of a few of the AvP games? Particularly Monolith's take or the first one by Rebellion. That latter one is pretty damned dated by now though. I liked the 2010 AvP by Rebellion myself but I'm probably one of the few people who liked it.

Alien Isolation has some incredible graphics and they are even reuniting the original crew for DLC episode(s). We'll just have to see if the final game is anywhere as good as the graphics paint it out to be.

SEGA backed already with the Pre-Order DLC, saying it will be available later, after lots of 'not very nice' customer feedback.

I think the IGN review is just a load of crap, it looks great. One of their minus points was that the enemy AI is too predictable.
