Especially when it takes that much work and it still doesn't run. Not to mention that the performance levels would still needed to be determined.

How can we help him out? This isn't a community with a lot of people experienced in hacking.

...and while Vista is feature-complete, it's hardly shipping code.

How much do you think he makes an hour? Lets assume something easy like $10 bucks an hour. A Vista capable PC lets say is 800 bucks. So that's 80 working hours. Think he's spent over 80 hours on this yet? I bet he has

I think he's doing something for the community. I don't exactly get the "where did the vista copy he's using come from", but it would be an interesting first step in getting windows onto our macs. I know I would appreciate being able to run some higher end windows only 3d cg apps.

Not when it involves giving a few hundred $$ to MS for the OS just to play a couple games, no.

Agreed. I bought a Mac, cos it runs OSX. OK ok, my intel iMac also looks gorgeous, but I bought it for OSX. I have absolutely no interest in Macs running windows, and I don't think it is a good thing if a software company starts announcing that their products will work if I buy Windows for my Mac.

How about a compromise between you and them? I'll lock the thread so those who don't like the idea will get off your case but those who want to help can still use the link. Sound like a good trade off? PM me if you disagree.
