I was hoping to do this and have it ready for the new year, but better late than never, eh?

I'd like to start a 5-7 player PBEM game of Civ IV. While I'd LOVE to do Warlords, I don't have a copy yet, and probably won't for the forseeable future.

Ideally, the players would be able to play AT LEAST 1 turn per day, but hopefully more. If we can get started by Feb 1st, that will give us at least 320 turns by the end of the year, which would be enough for a complete full Quick game.

Please PM me if interested with your first & second choice. I will post replies in this forum, civilizations will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. I will pick my Civ after everybody else gets their choice.

The great thing is, since it is a PBEM game, you will find yourself paying very close attention to every turn. Don't worry about if you win or lose, it's just for fun!

*sigh* If I had time to make one turn per day... but my days are a wee bit packed at the moment. Blast.

Here's a complete list of Civs & Leaders that are still available. Looks like some interesting selections alread  :)

Civilization, Leader 1 / Leader 2
  • America, George Washington / Franklin D. Roosevelt

  • Arabs, Saladin

  • Aztecs, Montezuma

  • China, Mao Zedong / Qin Shi Huang

  • Egypt, Hatshepsut

  • England, Elizabeth

  • France, Louis XIV / Napoleon

  • Germany, Frederick / Bismarck

  • Greece Alexander

  • Inca, Huayna Capac - Taken by Zoinks

  • India, Mahatma Gandhi / Asoka

  • Japan, Tokugawa

  • Mali, Mansa Musa - Taken by Jaguar

  • Mongolia, Kublai Khan / Qin Shi Huang

  • Persia, Cyrus

  • Rome, Julius Caesar

  • Russia, Catherine / Peter

  • Spain, Isabella
While it's looking pretty promising that we'll get all 7 players, if we only get 4 or 5, I'll make the other 2 or 3 civs random A.I. controlled players. If we get 6 or 7, there won't be any A.I. civs.

I thought somebody already took Frederick? Cougar, I think it was.

I'll take Elizabeth.  She's hot.

Btw, there is an error in #14 - Mongolia.  It should read Genghis Khan rather than Qin Shi Huang.
