Do you mean Icewind Dale EE? I am thinking you must given the amount of work IWD 2 will require, if they do it at all which I hope very much that they will.

I've read they are presently working on getting Dragonspear in under 4 GB for iOS as well as updating the other games not only with most current bug fixes but also to 64 bit in anticipation of iOS 11 I imagine.

Whops, where did that "2" come from? Of course it is the first one!

I think the latest out of Beamdog is that ID2 wont be ported, as it is too different from the rest, due to a heavily modified Infinity Engine. Of course, thats what they said about Plancescape Torment too, which is out soon...

Planescape is out now!

I wish more companies did these short announce-releases.

Got to the end boss in Icewind Dale, and is having major problems beating him. He's unlike most other bosses in IE games, this guy practically only relies on melee combat, and not magic. So far I haven't been able to beat him. And to make things worse, I realized that I've come too far in the game to play the two expansions, with no save games that are old enough. Great! So now I have to start all over in order to do that.. >_<

Sooo... I made some new characters, and started over.

Oops! That's a drag.

Did you try kiting the melee guy and having the rest of the party range attack him to death? That might work.

Yeah, but I haven't had success with it so far. My ranged guys appear to do negligible damage.

How do you feel about cheating?

Never. Short of Doom II to play level 32 over and over, I have never cheated.

I would let myself down if I just cheated to finish games. :P

Since I finished the game back then, I can vouch that he is definitely beatable. Unfortunately, it's been too long and I absolutely can't remember anything about how I beat him…
