In case no one has noticed Green Man Gaming has made a deal with Aspyr to sell their Mac games and are having a 75% off sale right now. So, Green Man Gaming is apparently getting into Mac gaming now.

I realized a bunch of id stuff was on sale! So, finished off my id back catalog. Got all the Heretic/Hexen series + Quake IV. At last I've got everything from the Holy Trinity (Bungie, Epic, and id) on my Tiki.
Kestrel (Falcon NW Tiki) – 4.0 GHz i7 8086K / 32GB RAM / 2TB Samsung 960 Pro M.2, 2x480GB Intel 730 (RAID0), 10TB STX BarraCuda Pro / TITAN Xp 12GB
Iridium (MacBook Pro Mid-2012) – 2.7 GHz i7 3820QM / 16GB RAM / 4TB Samsung 860 Pro / GeForce GT 650M 1GB
Antimony (PowerBook G4 2001) – 1.0 GHz PPC 7455 / 1GB RAM / 512GB Micron M600 / Radeon 9000 64MB

Eric5h5:
When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

id stuff was the reason I signed up for a steam account back in oh, must have been early 07. Had XP dual booted on my First Gen Core 2 Duo iMac. There was some sale on an id super pack.

Yeah, I was gonna buy that pack, but then it got taken down a while back and separated into individual packs. Which is a bit of a pain, because the Wolf Pack doesn't include all Wolfenstein titles, the Quake pack is missing Quake IV, and the Doom pack is missing the Doom 3 BFG edition. FFS.

So, I've just been grabbing id stuff separately as it goes on sale. Which for this summer sale is EVERYTHING, so I finished it off.

Looks like I need card #3, and have an extra #7... so if someone needs #7 and has an extra #3, hit me up.

Just bought DV:HR Directors Cut. I don't mind paying $5 for a game I already bought if it means I won't have to be dreading the bosses as much.

Also bought Broken Age.

Welcome to my backlog, you two! I'll install you now to make sure the Mac version gets the money, but don't hold your breathe after that..

Maybe not convenient, but it's also not very difficult. You only have to move the game folder from one SteamApps/common folder to the other one and then move the corresponding appmanifest_xxxxxx.acf file, where the x's correspond to the game's Steam database number. In the case of DXHRDC, that would be 238010. You can find these numbers for instance in the URL of the corresponding Steam store page.

Thanks, I couldn’t find that info anywhere. As far as I could tell it was a choice of backup/restore or delete/redownload.

Quote

But, apart from that: DXHRDC works fine for me from an external drive…
I’m just lucky I guess. Oh well, at least the game is good now that it will launch.

Exactly. Most all 3rd person games (either from behind, or iso / top down), I tend to pick the female character variant. If its an FPS where all I see is my ~weapon~, I tend to pick the male character.
