Despite this I am still enjoying the game well enough, but I sure could be enjoying it a lot more.

The villains running things in this one are just plain annoying most of the time. (They are supposed to be, of course, but unlike Handsome Jack they are too aware of their own nastiness.) There are some fun cameos from previous games, and some decent new characters.
The free content that was added for Halloween is still active for a few more days and I've run through it a few times already to beef up my levels. I'll kind of be glad when its over though - after killing some badasses I sometimes have about 10 seconds to kill a badass ghost as well, and the ghost has occasionally killed me without any other enemies nearby to get a second wind from.
I like the dual-elemental weapons, the 3d cues on the map, the cars that are basically one giant wheel, and the ability to hijack vehicles to unlock new styles and abilities. And I especially like the ability to Fast Travel from almost anywhere to your vehicle, or to any Fast Travel station you've previously encountered.
So there's a lot to like. It's already gone on sale for $40 so keep that in mind before paying $60.

Jack was awesome. BL3 can never live up to him, so I expect to find it a bit meh unfortunately.

I guess I don't blame them completely- they are probably getting thousands of reports of varying quality. But we've already reproduced this issue for them on 2 different platforms. I'd hoped that might be enough to get it past ltriage.

TBF...the base graphics card in the Mac Pro came out in 2017.

Not to hijack the thread, but how are you liking the 16” otherwise?

I'd have to check the results, but I think the direct Mac/Windows benchmarks on the same 2012 MBP with Thunderbolt 1 and Vega 56 eGPU are something like ~15 FPS (Mac) vs ~55 FPS (Windows) with the same settings and resolution

Also a new holiday mission for everyone, coming soon.
Edit: My bad-- the new Heist mission is apparently paid DLC. Price unknown, but presumably its the first mission of the 4-mission season pass, which costs a whopping $50.
So it'll probably be $15-$20 for the one mission.

Booted in windows on the Mac Pro and it runs great with the base graphics card.

I really like the extra screen space of the 16 and it's not much bigger than the 15 I had before. And, although I didn't hate the keys in the previous model, the new/old keyboard does feel better.
Before I got the Mac Pro I tested out an external GPU with a Radeon Pro WX9100 and Borderlands still was horrible even at low settings.
