Hi everyone
I have been trying to work out the name of an old Apple Macintosh game that ran on our Apple Macintosh SE in the early-1990s.
The game was a fairly straightforward horse racing game where you could bet on the horses. The game included two dimensional graphics of the horses in each race running across the screen from left to right. I estimate the game was released in the late-1980s to early-1990s.
If you happen to know the name of this game, please let me know.

I think I played the game you mean and if memory serves it was called simply "Horse Race". I believe the copy I played came from the Club Mac floppies, and it's probably in other collections like the ones from the various MUGs.

Thanks. What does MUG stand for in this context? I'll see if I can find any info about Club Mac floppies.

MUG = Macintosh User Group. Among other things they would collect freeware and shareware onto floppies or (later) CDs. This was before everyone had internet access. And even the people who had a modem didn't always know where to go, or didn't like downloading at a snails pace.

You can find some of these CDs collected online: https://archive.org/...dbbsarchive?and[]=subject%3A%22Macintosh%20software%22
There are also are a few Mac CDs hiding under a different tag: http://archive.org/s...-publicdate[]=subject%3A%22Macintosh%20CD-ROM%22

But the Mac selection I'm seeing there isn't that great. I just checked a few of them:
(Aztech Mac Cube; Classic Mac Shareware Pack, CD Funhouse 9) and not only didn't they have anything called Horse Race, they don't have either of my two shareware games, and those were hard to miss for a while.
BMUG Revelations has my games AND a file called Horse Race-- unfortunately that turns out just to be a picture of a guy on a horse.

Maybe you'll have better luck than I did. Good luck..
