Valve drops Mac Steam VR support

In the latest edition of I totally forgot this was a thing, Valve drops Mac support for Steam VR. Old beta frameworks will continue to work, for now:


I like how they spelled macOS OSX. Seems fitting for such a post.

Folding@Home Coronavirus

Folding@Home lets you donate your unused GPU and CPU resources for disease research. I’ve just started to use it after they added coronavirus projects. You can create teams to keep track of how many cycles you’ve donated collectively; perhaps if others are interested we could create an IMG team.

Been waiting on this one for years. Its been in abandonware hell. Mac/Linux compatible by virtue that it uses ScummVM. Its a detective puzzle game where characters allegiances vary on every play through, and there are different endings based on that and what clues you find.

Magic the Gathering: Arena announced for Mac

This was inevitable as it is a Unity game and Wizards had said that they want the game on as many platforms as possible. But, MTG Arena has a formal Mac announcement now. https://magic.wizard...nter-2019-08-19

Been playing since the Alpha and its quite good. Super polished interface, full control. Mostly fair FTP mechanics though drafts could be cheaper.

Hope iOS is next...
