Welp, to reiterate, I've never had problems with PS4 controllers on any Mac.

The brand uses cloud-based hassle-free software to establish a connection between products and PC. Be it razer gaming keyboards, controllers, mouses or headsets, razer synapse unites the configuration. However, there are cases reporting issues like razer synapse not opening. Though it isnít a major issue, users can simply fix razer synapse not working without any assistance from the team.

1. Yes it does cause hassle because Razer no longer support macOS and 2. their macOS software (when it was last being developed) installed a kernel extension that caused problems trying to launch on newer versions of macOS and 3. the article addresses Windows users whom might be inept at troubleshooting and I think might be hosted on a dial-up BBS.
