I'm a bit mixed that they're upgrading the campaigns (the level they're showing off is completely different from the original) and redoing all the cutscenes (the ones they've shown look stilted, with the higher fidelity models and the old voice acting, with just basic camera angles and animations straight out of 2003). I'm not against it, but I don't know that it's really going to be an improvement.
It does sound like they plan on recreating all the cinematics, which is amazing (the upgraded teaser looked fantastic). Especially since they've been cutting way back on cinematics for their newer releases (RoS and LotV both had only a single cinematic).

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

The updated graphics are weird.

The new 3d models are more realistic and high resolution when you zoom in, but maybe too detailed when looked at a distance. Then there are some effects like water that looks the same as the original one from 15 years ago.
Either way, it will need so many months of bug fixes…

I looked at some of the cutscene 'upgrades', and they COMPLETELY ruined the feel of the game. I have absolutely no interest in this anymore, and I've played my share of 1000+ hours of Warcraft 3 content. I don't like to say this often, but Blizzard does feel doomed these days... Or should I say Activision minion #418. I really have to wonder at what went wrong here? It is as if they had absolutely no idea what they were doing!

Well, it's not an either/or thing. The art for this was outsourced (same company that did the SC1 remaster) and they have a separate team that works on the programming for these remasters. I hope the SC2 team is actually working on WC4 or SC3.
A properly done WC3 remaster would be a great thing to have, but this isn't it.
