Hello everyone,

I would like to ask what a really good strategy game would be for my dad for Christmas? He said it wouldn't have to something that's really up to date, I don't think his mac is particularly new or updated but I would like to get him one that's really well thought of.

If anyone has any recommendations it would be really great to hear them!

While not particularly my cup of tea Feral Interactive has a lot of Total War ports. I can attest that the ones I have play well (including the iPad port), Feral does impeccable work.

Definitely check out Sid Meier's Civilization series. Version 6 released about a month ago. Check minimum requirements to make sure it'll run on his machine. If not Civ5 and Civ4 are quite good. This is a turn-based strategy (TBS) game.
