Nope, some Feral and Aspyr games have been Mac App Store first or exclusives (Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing, SEGA Superstars Tennis, Sim City Complete, re-releases of older titles).

Soon I hope, I have it on steam. I participated in some Gearbox day several years ago and a few months ago a steam code for Homeworld showed up in my email thanking me.

Weren't most of those in the Dark Days before Feral and Aspyr used Steam? This one is surprising because the Mac depot has been up on the steamdb for quite a while.
I wonder if the Steam version will have Mac/PC multiplayer. The original HW2 port didn't have it.

Aspyr recently put up C&C Generals in the App Store only. But its the only one in recent memory I can recall.
regardless it says it's coming to steam. I'm guessing there's some networking business they need to work out yet which isn't an issue for the App Store build.

Odd, MAS version of HW has no multiplayer at all, not even Mac-Mac.

- Aspyr loves Star Wars titles
- They ported EA games before
- Disney is Apple friendly
Fallout 4... Bethesda. That would be something. I would really want to know why Rage haven't got DLCs and Steam release. It was developed by id with Mac in mind before Bethesda aquired them. There has been some post around here saying Bethesda's execs don't like Macs. I want new Wolfenstein but I don't have high hopes.
I bet on Call of Duty titles (Black Ops 2 or Ghosts).

Cost vs ROI. Not enough mac sales to justify the cost of porting. And if the game demands too much hardware, thats an even smaller target audience. Hard thing to sell.

Let's hope EA will not do it themselves, like The Sims 4, SimCity or FIFA 12.

Hopefully the cider option doesn't exist anymore does it? Didn't Nvidia buy Transgaming for some reason? I thought I read that somewhere a while ago. I wonder why they would though. What for?
Anyway, the first two Dragon Age games did get Mac releases so maybe EA will have interest in doing it right this time with the third one? I hope so.

Quite honestly, the only game from EA that looks interesting to me is that yarn platformer. And Bethesda, I've given up on...

I would love Dragon Age Inquisition. BioWare is one of my favorite game companies ever, even though there's not much of the old spirit left. AspyrBlair promised more RPG goodness from Aspyr this year. Given their recent track record of remastering 10 year old Xbox classics, we might as well get a Mass Effect Remastered with proper controller support.

Dragon Age should not have gone so open world.........Like it's nice to have more freedom of movement, but all they did was populate the world with really boring fetch quests. It really breaks the mood. Honestly, even with the recycled areas, DAII was much much tighter in terms of story and quests, and that's a good thing.
I've gotten to what I suppose is the half way point of DA:I and I just can't drag myself back to it. V.S. DAI and DAII where you couldn't drag me away from them.
Coupled with EA boning us over on a Mac Version. Aught to be a law against dropping a series on a platform like that. I'll vote for that guy.

So would I. Seeing that Dragon Age II was released simultaneously on both the PC and Mac I was expecting the same with Inquisition... I was disappointed.
Sure, Witcher 3 on the Mac would no doubt be a nice feature, but you can't be a lesbian in that game.

The Witcher 3 for the Mac is probably a different story though. CD Project seems pretty invested in supporting the Mac with GOG and the first two games in the series coming to our beloved platform. They even went out of their way (or somebody did) to sort of re-release a better version of the first game because of all the issues that had cropped up with the somewhat shoddy WINE port that had been originally released. I don't think you would see EA do something like that ever. So sooner or later I think we are going to be hearing something about a Mac version of The Witcher 3.
However if we continue to hear nothing about this until early next year I would start to worry.

If you're a smart developer and long-term thinking, you'll most likely use an engine which is cross-platform from the start. Why? Because you need to build your game for at least three different platforms (Xbox, PlayStation, Mobile and/or PC). Mobile is the biggest piece of the cake nowadays and this means Android and iOS (OpenGL/Metal) vs. DirectX on Xbox and Windows. Look at the iPad Air 2. It's such a powerful piece of hardware for a mobile device and they keep getting better and better every year. Currently we're talking Xbox 360/PS3 performance for iPhone, but what about 2016 or 2017? At least the Japanese publishers are pushing mobile pretty hard. The next Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy will be released on everything (PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo NX and Mobile). As the graphical capabilities of phones/tablets come closer to current-gen consoles, we might also see more titles on OS X because it's so easy for the devs to just export to Metal/iOS and Metal/OSX -- at least in Unity. An A10 powered Apple TV with MFi controller support could also shake up the game development landscape in the Apple world. Yes, the Mac is an afterthought for Apple these days, but I don't think they want to be dependent on one product (iPhone) forever.
