Hi folks,

Is anyone (still) playing Two Worlds II? Being a scaredy-cat when it comes to updating OSes, I only recently updated to High Sierra, and now TW2 is crashing all the time. And when it’s not, it is stuttering and showing odd loading times. Does anyone know what’s up?

On a similar note, I thought all the DLC was Mac-compatible, but the newer ones, now at least, are listed on Steam as Mac-only. I really don’t want this to be yet another “Mac compatible” game I have to Boot Camp. I seem to have especially bad luck with RPGs.

Actually, last time I tried, I couldn’t X-Blades to run properly under either OS!

Thanks!

Well, here we are, a new year, and I have a response from Topware at last, specifically Dirk P. Hassinger, VP Business Development. It is short but not so sweet, and it seems as if they have silently dropped Mac support altogether, from all of their games, because it is too much work:

"the problem is, that with every update Apple makes changes which make many games incompatible."

That is it. That is all he had to say. Two Worlds II (the base game and some DLC) is still officially listed on Steam as Mac compatible, as is X-Blades. Of course, Topware is not the only one guilty of this, but it is even more frustrating than listing a game as having controller support when it doesn’t.
