From What I have read from the thread, and what my friends have said, don't worry about installing it. The $40 could be used somewhere else, maybe Mass Effect, Bioshock or something.

By the way, I am speaking as a person who has only played the demo. Just to let you know.

I've decided to return Crysis and use the money towards a Logitech G5 gaming mouse. I'll wait until COD:4 or UT3 finally comes out for Mac.

Gosh it's been a while... Sold the Green Monster and the iPad for a truly amazing new beast.

The game is all right but the demo just seems like its the same objectives over and over. Is it like this the entire game? Or do you move on to different environments and so on? If I'm in the jungle killing Koreans for the entire game it's not worth $40.

about the first half of the game is spent doing that, the 2nd half has more varied missions.

I've just returned it and gotten my giftcards back. I'll wait a couple day to get my G5.

you might as well get UT3 for PC. its ridiculously cheap because its quite simply not selling that itll be at most 1/3rd the full price which the mac version will be.

and if you like it enough then you can still get the mac version too.

Crysis: Warhead is coming out in September, and Gamestop is listing it as $30. (Crysis is currently $40) From what I've heard, Warhead has equal or greater content that Crysis, and is even more optimized. I don't even think you need Crysis to run it. I would definitely save your money for this one.

Yeah, not the be-all and end-all of the FPS genre, but a fun game. I got pretty frustrated in parts that I thought were just too darned difficult, but overall I enjoyed the game.

Looks like Game stop is going to offer us Americans Crysis for only $20 as a Black Friday special. For a price like that it's hard not to pick up.

I thought i would replay it over and over again like i did the demo, but i'm just not interested anymore. Infact i havent been too focoused on any PC games at the moment. 20 bucks is a great price though.

I picked up Crysis Maximum Edition yesterday (Crysis, Crysis Warhead, and Crysis Wars). I decided to after playing through the demo again on my homebuild. This is game is good, and super fun. Forget what I said in previous posts. The storyline is still lacking but it is just so damn fun.

The reason I think this is because I've started to master the finer points of the game that allow you to excel. Like shooting the tire of a moving vehicle causing it to flip, or sniping the extra gas canister on the side of both the big and small trucks. Blowing up stationary items like barrels, gas stations, and parked gas trucks/tanks with my C4 or silenced weapons to cause diversions. Using a combination of maximum speed and strength to completely outmaneuver the enemy by jumping onto buildings, speeding through their lines while throwing grenades, or speeding around in the midst of a platoon causing havoc with my shotgun.

The maps are so open that there is a practically endless ways to approach an objective if you stay creative with maximum strength (why go up the main road to an outpost, only to be pinned down by fixed guns, when you can swim around to the back and scale the cliffs, totally surprising the enemy as you toss grenades and spray them with your SMG). I think I just discovered the way the designers meant the game to be played.

If your computer can handle it this will be an excellent purchase.
