FYI, it's possible to get FreeSpace 2 installed natively, though I haven't done this in a very long time: http://www.hard-ligh...p?topic=79546.0
I did it just last year. As recommended in those instructions I installed the MediaVPs mods to bring the graphics up-to-date. Worked great, I played the full game start to finish.

Indie game Minit free on Epic store, Mac version available.

And for those of you who love DRM stores and giving your emails to business empires - If you turn on EA Login Verification on before the end of October, you get one month free Origin Access Basic starting November 1.! Windows only I assume?
"They're everywhere!" -And now, time for some Legend of Zelda.

iMac 2011, quad 3,4Ghz i7, 1TB Samsung EVO 840, 8GB RAM, 2GB Radeon 6970m. + 2016 Macbook m3 + iPad 2 64GB + iPhone 4S 64GB + Girlfriend + Daughter

Yes, from the FAQ: “Origin Access is only available on PC. Vault games and Play First Trials cannot be played on a Mac.” A bit disappointing as there is a Mac Origin client and games with Mac versions on the service.

Well, I’ll look forward to playing Unravel Two, after playing the first for free during EA’s streaming trial.

Would you pay $5 a month for a handful or two of Mac games, while Windows users get access to 164? That wouldn't make sense.

When did EA release a new Mac game (that wasn't a Sims 4 expansion) anyway?

Back on track guys, keep the thread focused please. Make a "Digital stores are made of pure evil" thread for all the old man bitching! (Which may actually be a really good idea, as digital stores seem to be the variant of Godwins law on this forum)

Origin access is more than just EA games.

Unlike Uplay+ where its just a handful of ubisoft games for $15/mo (wtf guiz).

So, any freebies out there? (you know, to get back on track lol)

Attemps to get Surviving Mars from epic store, is told this application does not support your platform. Looks at the apple symbol on the store page.

Shrugs, and completes the Free purchase. Downloads and starts up on my Mac.

Conclusion: Epic store you're drunk.

Huh? Goes to steam page, looks and sees "This product is not compatible with MacOS 10.15 Catalina" Scratches head... I don't remember seeing any 32 bit application warning when starting the game up this afternoon. Goes to system report, finds MarsEpic sees 64-Bit Yes. Looks at other games I have which I know are 64 bit, sees more "this product is not compatible" messages.

Conclusion: Steam you're drunk :drunk:

Haven’t tried it myself, but apparently the Epic version has some DLC included that normally isn’t free. So it may be worth getting even if you got it in that recent Humble Monthly,

You can order (it's a manual process) two Surviving Mars DLCs: Mysteries Resupply Pack (always free, so not much of a gift) and Space Race (normally $13).

Alan Wake is a great game, its sequel is ok, not as good as the first.

Another freebee to consider. To coincide with PDXCON, Crusader Kings 2 is free on Steam.

You can still buy all the DLC for $150 if you desperately want to give Paradox your money.
