Looks like a nice remaster. Updated graphics while keeping the visual identity of the original (a task not accomplished with the WC3 remaster) but you can also use the old graphics if you like. Itís being made by the same devs who did the well-received Tony Hawk remaster. That team is now a part of Blizzard.

Blizzard also announced/released an arcade pack of Lost Vikings 1, Rock & Roll Racing and Blackthorne. Also Windows only. Seems like they are slowly abandoning macOS entirely. They canít use the ďmacs are too weakĒ excuse they gave with Overwatch.

Yeah, it (really) sucks that the Diablo 2 remaster won't have a Mac-native offering. (And no Diablo IV either, obviously).
You must gather your party before venturing forth.

How do we know it won't have a native Mac version at some point? I can't imagine this being very demanding.

Mac isn't listed as a supported platform on that page, or on the pre-order.

"At some point:? Sure, they could simply be planning a later release, or basing final decision on sales or technical issues. But it doesn't look promising.
And you are right- its technically not demanding. It just looks like they've given up developing anything for the Mac market.

Well, quite, even the freakin' Switch gets it.

The writing has been on the wall for a couple years now. Activision Blizzard doesn't do Mac games; the profit's not there for them.
