So Aspyr will supposedly bring 'Jedi Outcast' and 'Jedi Academy' to the Switch and PS4,
but they won't update those  games to 64-bit for macOS?
Thanks Aspyr...

According to the old grumps on this forum Macs are unusable for playing games so smart move Aspyr.

Not true! They’re great for really old games, like these!

Not anymore when Catalina drops.

Not going to install Catalina. Of course, that won’t be a viable choice anymore whenever I upgrade/ when security updates for Mojave stop.

Really not that big of a deal just to keep an install of Mojave around for legacy 32bit games and apps, on a 2nd partition or even a USB thumbdrive. At least that's what I'll be doing. Certainly less of a hassle than keeping around a PPC Mac is for legacy non-x86 games...
Devices I play games on:

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, 4 TBT3) — 3.1 GHz i5-6287U | Iris 550 | 16 GB RAM | 512 GB Flash | Space Gray
iMac (27-inch, Late 2012) — 3.4 GHz i7-3770 | GTX 680MX | 32 GB RAM | 1 TB Fusion Drive
iMac (Flat Panel) — 700 MHz PPC 7450 (G4) | GeForce2 MX | 640 MB RAM | 40 GB HDD
iMac (5 Flavors) — 333 MHz PPC 750 (G3) | ATI Rage Pro | 512 MB RAM | 6 GB HDD | Tangerine

iPhone X — 256 GB | Silver
iPhone 5s — 32 GB | Space Gray
iPad Pro (10.5-inch) — 256 GB | Space Gray
iPad Air 2 — 64 GB | Space Gray
iPad — 16 GB
iPod touch (3rd generation) — 32 GB
iPod touch — 8 GB
Apple Watch (1st generation) — 42 mm | Stainless Steel (Yes, there's games for watchOS)

Sure, but then you run into the same problem anyway when you eventually upgrade, unless you want to keep that machine around.

I’d be more inclined to upgrade if there were compelling new features in Catalina. Maybe I’ll re-evaluate my decision when interesting Catalyst apps shape up, like Overcast. But for now, Catalina on the work machine will be enough.

That is indeed true; however that will be some years from now still and I tend to keep my old devices anyway.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is now a 64-bit app on the Mac App Store.
