Sports Interactive, creators of the hit sim games such as Football Manager 2006 and NHL Eastside Hockey Manager have released the Mac version of Out Of The Park Baseball Manager 2006. A 28 MB Mac demo is being hosted on our sister site, Macgamefiles.com.

I've got some old boardgames like this, which I love to play, so I will be getting this one if the demo works okay on my Mac.  I've got their Worldwide Soccer Game and it works fine.

This is a further patch for Out of the Park Baseball 2006 which fixes bugs and adds a number of decent new features. If you've not yet played the game perhaps now is a great chance to download the demo.

New features and functionality

- Added a "Offer all minor league free agents minor league contract extensions" function to the teams' possible free agent screen
- Added player overall and potential rating to player profile screen
- Added all league reports into a submenu within the league main menu
- Added "Schedule" to the tabs of the team screens
- Added an info message that informs managers if staff members are leaving the team after the season
- Added an info message that informs managers when players retire
