Just in time for the series' 22nd anniversary. :P

Nice! I loved the PC version; a worthy successor to the 2013 reboot.

Iridium (MacBook Pro Mid-2012) – 2.7 GHz i7 3820QM / 16GB RAM / 2TB Samsung 850 Pro / GeForce GT 650M 1GB

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

    Minimum:

    • OS: Windows 7 64bit
    • Processor: Intel Core i3-2100 or AMD equivalent
    • Memory: 6 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 650 2GB or AMD HD7770 2GB
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 25 GB available space

So in feral macOS and linux terms that means i5s from a year or two ago a bare minimum cpu requirement? 8 gigs of ram? And the gpu probably would be at least a 800 series GTX. And the API requirement for linux mint, steamOS, or ubuntu would require vulkan , while most likely you'd need sierra to run it because of Metal? Lets say that I had a 4k 2016 21 inch imac given to me. That models Radeon Pro 555 has less than 4 gigs vram, you aren't able to put in more than 16 gigs unless you plunk down 200 more dollars.

I expect CPU requirements to be similar between macOS and Windows.

Given the frequent and drastic improvements Apple have been making to Metal in terms of fixing driver bugs of late, I would be surprised if it ran on anything below High Sierra (we should be beta testing 10.14 by the time the game releases). Like recent titles, I would suspect AMD-only as well until nVidia can get their popsnizzle together.

I’m expecting AMD only at least officially, just hope there isn’t a random CPU block (as appears to be with Aspyr’s Mafia 3) as although later CPUs are of course faster they don’t have any new instructions I can see that relate to gaming.

The lastest Deus EX from Feral is running well so I have hope!

Yes, Deus Ex: MD is already High Sierra-only.

nVidia wonít bother to do anything unless Apple has an nVidia option in the new Mac Pro, and I wouldnít hold my breath for that.

Steam is running a Square-Enix Sale this weekend, Rise of The Tomb Raider is 67% off (USD$19.79). Tomb Raider, Deus Ex: Human Revolution are going for three bucks (TR:GOTY is $4.49)!

I'm HOPING my preemptive purchase and only installing, playing on macOS gets Feral paid but I don't know how that works and I believe they're under a NDA.

They've described it here before...IIRC you have to run the game within a certain amount of time of purchase (2 weeks?) on macOS for Feral to get their cut.

Mankind Divided season pass is also 4.50. Two story DLCs are definitely worth it for that price.

Dangit! If you're right I hope they surprise us soon! I thought they couldn't get into detail.

WOWEEWOW! This game runs superbly on my setup. I selected the Very High preset, disabled Motion Blur (because I don't like the effect in any game) and am running 1920x1080. Super fluid!! What a gorgeous game but I need sleep!

I tried the "high" preset at 1440p on my iMac and even though I don't alway hit 60 fps, the benchmark test is quite fluid.
I'd rather not play at 1080p, as it looks blurry on the 5k display.

I guess you have a Radeon Pro 580? That's good! I ran the game on a Windows PC with a GTX 1070 and got 60-70fps on high, so 40-60fps (assumedly) on a weaker card with the macOS performance penalty is good.

Played an hour and a bit so far but also running well here. Left everything on defaults which seemed mainly high but also set to 1440p.

Benchmark was into 40s average with highs over 100 with my RX580 and seems troublefree so far.

Congratulations to Feral on a job well done.

Yes, macOS is only 10% slower than windows (dx 11) on my Mac. The performance delta is lower than on Deus EX and DiRT.

Still battling with the graphics options here on a MacBook Pro late 2013...
I'm so not used to anything under 1440x900, but it's hardly playable on that resolution.
Lowering graphics options also hurts quite a bit, this is such a pretty game.
Haven't found a compromise I'm happy with yet...

It's cool that Feral got "pure hair" working. I thought this would not be available on the Mac because of proprietary tech from GPU vendor that only runs on window/consoles.

Ok, the game looks nice, but the on-screen hints "press A for survival instinct" or "press shift to swim faster" are starting to get on my nerves. The game even threw a hint when I was already preforming the suggested action (swim faster).
And there is no way to disable these hints. :glare:
