Biggest Mac gaming news of 2021? Brad Oliver stopping by the IMG forums.

(To be fair there is still plenty of time left in the year. Maybe someone else will drop by.)

Interesting!

"We're unlikely to announce at E3, but we've got some excellent titles planned for 2021."

Wow, they're still alive and they've actually got some titles planned for 2021. It's about time, as we're almost halfway through this year.

Apparently it's mandatory to sign in to Facebook in order to see their post. Does it say anything else, or just the one sentence you quoted?

The made a post about "E3 is right around the corner, and it promises to be quite the show, even without the thronging crowds. Posted Image What news are you most looking forward to?Posted Image Any predictions to share for the year's big reveals and award winners?".

Someone asked "I mean will you be announcing anything?". They reponded as above. :) They don't mention Mac and I guess some titles will be Remastered versions of old games like the ones they've been porting but I hope there will be some new titles too with M1 support.

Okay, thanks for this additional information.

Yes, let's hope so. Is there anything in particular you'd like to see ported? I don't even know about any recent Windows games worth porting, so I'm wondering what these excellent titles will be.

I think they've already announced Total War: Warhammer III? Will be interesting to see what else they might have up their sleeves

I don't know. I still have a large backlog and am waiting for the new iMac M2 32-core GPU to be able to play them. My iMac 2011 is about to retire. :) There are a few worthy titles I could think of: Dying Light 2, Mass Effect Legendary, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Far Cry, Crysis, Horizon Zero Dawn, Wolfenstein series, Halo series, mostly FPS.

Hopefully they don't suffer from a case of amnesia like Aspyr has and forget the Mac ever existed. I doubt they will but you never know.
27" iMac I7 (late 2017), 3.8 mhz, 16 gigs of RAM, Radeon Pro 580 8 GB, Mac OS 11.4.
iPad Pro (2018) 12.9” 256GB WiFi, & iPhone XR 128GB

Half of the year is already gone and we have only seen one Mac port from Feral and some Total War DLC.
I do hope to see more of them in the latter half of 2021.
At this point they could just retire the Feral Radar.

Remember peeps, Feral does Android/iOS/Switch now as well. So an "exciting game announcement" doesn't mean it's for Mac. The only confirmed thing is TW: Warhammer III, and that could even creep into early 2022.
Computer: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020.) 3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9. 64GB RAM. AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB.

Well, 'Total War: Warhammer III' is pretty much confirmed.
Feral might port 'LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga' and 'Life Is Strange: True Colors' to the Mac at one point.
But I do not expect to see another Codemasters game being ported by Feral.

Thoughts? I had been thinking it would be cool if Proton was on the Mac, but there would be some downsides.

It seems Valve is contacting developers to ask them to drop their native linux version and just keep the win version via proton, these was a tweet about but I don't have the link anymore. I guess native linux games will be even more rare than now very soon.
