It'll be coming to Steam, all the Xboxes, all the PlayStations and Switch as well. So you can be playing it on whatever platform you want.

Except for Mac. Who cares about the Mac?

Say THANK YOU to Aspyr.

In Topic: macOS 11.0 - Big Sur

sorry to hear that.

All I can say I am running Big Sur from an external Samsung X5 TB3 SSD (M2-TB3) - installation worked smooth as butter in 30 mins or something.

APFS is the RIGHT choice for SSDs. HDDs should not be formatted with that. But be sure to use GUID-Partition Map - no encrypted or case sensitive options.

I  never had such a problem with an external System-SSDs  - before LaCie Rugged-TB2-Case+TB3-Adapter with High Sierra and Mojave. Installations all took less than an hour.

Have you tried booting your system into Recovery Mode and try repairs from there?

Have you any cooling pads on the M2? Maybe the SSD got too hot during installaion and then transfer rates go down drastically.

Maybe if aynting else fails, try a differnt enclose (M2-USB, M2-SATA)  and - or on a real Windows-PC, since Bootcamp relies on the same MacOS lowlevel drivers IIRC.

Of course it can always happen that the SSD or enclose was faulty already. If you have warranty on it you can try that, also.

In Topic: TechTool Pro - is there any point?

14 November 2020 - 06:57 AM

I have both, as Techtool Pro since 12 or so finally supports SMART-Monitoring for external USB-Drives it upped it's game quite a bit. But if you use it ONLY for that DriveDX is the better choice, I guess. Some other feautres of TTP have mostly become pointless IMHO like emergency startup disk. The Cloning is still handy, though.

Volume Defrag and Rebuilt etc. is still great if you use HDDs. For SSD it's pointless and actually damaging.

But honestly I still can't decide which one to ditch. For now the Upgrade from TTP12 to 13 was just $24 a few days back, so no biggie.

BTW: you can get Drive DX right now at www.bundlehunt.com for $6

Basically what has been said. Only two TB3 ports and 16GB Ram do not cut it. M2 or M3 Gemeration will become interesting I guess.

... this still has some tantalizingly interesting possible effects, including:

- Obsidian and Fallout are now under one roof. ...?
- Microsoft doesn't hate John Carmack.

this and let's hope they kill off Bethesda.net. With such a requirement I am not interested in any new games from them anyway.
