Something a little more abstract this month:

What is your favourite video game setting to play in, and why?

Sci-fi? High fantasy? Sci-high fantasy?! What are the settings that really draw you in?
(Hard) Sci-Fi. No matter if futuristic dystopian extrapolations of the current world as in Deus Ex or glittering spaceships orbiting spectacular alien worlds as in Elite Dangerous, that's my thing.

It's going to be super fast. 32 core base model with available 64 core upgrade.
That means nothing without supported software. For instance in the scientific area, which always has been a major part of the Mac Pro's target audience, there are no high-performance programs at all which run on ARM CPUs. Intel, yes. SPARC, yes. Power (and PowerPC before that), yes. ARM? Zero. Many applications couldn't even be ported to ARM without massive drawbacks as they are built to make use of certain CPU-specific technologies.

Mac Pro is going to be the first ARM Mac btw.
...which would be a massive *frak you* to the Mac Pro's target audience.

Wow. I doubt I still have that disc anywhere.

Uh, I might actually get to play it then! Is it 64bit?
Unfortunately only 32-bit.

It states you get a Windows Steam key, and there's no Mac logo. Yet the page also credits Feral for the Mac version. I'm going to redeem the offer just to see where the mistake lies.

Update: Mac version IS included.
Technically, the Mac version has been pulled from sale end of last year (due to the impending End of the 32-Bit World).
