Unfortunately, Feral have a history of requiring the latest macOS version for their game, to take advantage of bug fixes and such.

True.... but Catalina has more bugs than a rush-job AAA game... so maybe requiring it as a basepoint would be a bad idea for them ;)

This weeks two free Epic games:

Alan Wake's American Nightmare (Windows only)

Alan Wake is a great game, its sequel is ok, not as good as the first.

I seriously hope that it doesn't require Catalina, because I'm not going to drop all by 32-bit games just for this one.

Exactly. There is absolutely no reason to require Catalina when Mojave will do the job just as well.

I'm not opposed to expansions sold as DLC. Original game comes out, and if it does well enough the developers can add more content. Only the people who want the content have to pay for it. Extended development means ongoing support, which is good for all players, even the ones who don't buy the DLC.

Unfortunately most studios still plan to move most or all of the developers off the game afterwards regardless of what happens. So they develop the DLC up front with the rest of the game, and then market it by trying to make us feel bad if we don't buy the full package. But that just makes us mad that the stuff wasn't in the base game.

I flew Frontier Airlines a couple times recently, and it went well. But I didn't appreciate the constant nagging to upgrade my seating and baggage choices. They even had a sign up at the airport suggesting that people behind you in line will get annoyed at you for holding things up if you don't purchase a carry-on allowance, then find your personal bag doesn't fit under the seat. The sign literally said "everyone on the plane will know it's you".

I'm waiting for the day of coin-operated bathrooms on flights. And pre-purchase bathroom privileges.

Myst V end of ages gave me a bit of a weep, and for being the 'end of a long impactful story'. I'm not sure if it was most satisfying though, it certainly was one that I remember after all these years.

However one that had an impactful and wonderfully "satisfying" ending, was Portal 1 (this was before portal 2 was even a thing). It had this awe, an amazing scripted series of events, incredible design for the visuals, and the downright satisfaction in what you did during that ending to come to that ending. It was ... brilliant in that respect. (and lets not forget the end song ;) )
