It still won’t play nicely with my iMac, but hilariously, it works just fine with my even newer MacBook Air after some resolution adjustments. Seems it must be related to screen size.

Well, here we are, a new year, and I have a response from Topware at last, specifically Dirk P. Hassinger, VP Business Development. It is short but not so sweet, and it seems as if they have silently dropped Mac support altogether, from all of their games, because it is too much work:

"the problem is, that with every update Apple makes changes which make many games incompatible."

That is it. That is all he had to say. Two Worlds II (the base game and some DLC) is still officially listed on Steam as Mac compatible, as is X-Blades. Of course, Topware is not the only one guilty of this, but it is even more frustrating than listing a game as having controller support when it doesn’t.

It worked fine on my old mid-2011 iMac, although the text was always cramped (I think that was just poor design). Thanks for letting me know, though. I might just have to Boot Camp it instead, and hope for better results.
